Asif Ali Zardari, allowed his children to give priority to thier mother's surname. This was apreciated by many but on the other hand, some PPP opponents think that this is only for political benifits.
People who actually dont like PPP think that their is no legal reason for Zardari to name his children as Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. They think its only to play with political sentiments of people.
Some conservative people think that not using their fathers' surname is a big slap on Zardaris' face. They think that by doing this Asif Zardari has subdued himself. The area where the Zardaris actually belong to is a rural area of Sindh. Here people are very strict in followoing old conventions and seldom do they endorse such activities.
There may be different point if views of different people but neutral people like me think that it is a great gesture by Asif Zardari to firstly be the co-chairman only and equally important is the change of name of his children. This will give an impression to the Bhutto supporters that Bhuttos' name cannot be finished with one or two murders.
As they say "Kal bhi Bhutto Zinda tha, Aaj bhi Bhutto Zinda Hai"
meaning "Bhutto was alive yesteryear and will always be"
Asif Zardari spent many years in jail. Bilawal Bhutto has spent most of his life with his mother, Benzair Bhutto. He would have seen her mothers' way of politics. He knows the philosophy of his mother. So renamming him as Bilawal affirms that Benazirs' mission will contunue. We hope the mission continues and true democracy prevails in our country forever.

I think it is great that his children bear their mother's surname. Throughout the world, women assume their husband's name, and the children take on the name of their father. Even in matriarchal societies, this has become the norm. This is sad, because so women are such strong characters, and their memories and their names should not be lost in history. [THUMBUP] I hope all of you in Pakistan remain safe in these tumultuous times![THUMBUP]

Sure, I agree with you. Once democracy is fully restored, we shall be safe.
